Boxes

Within ViziGen-Page "Boxes" are used for three purposes:

- Boxes can be used for controlling the layout of a page (or template).

- Boxes can be used to embed content (text or graphical images) into a page (or template).

- Boxes can be used to provide a means of navigation around your web site.

Layout Boxes

- Stack boxes can contain many of the other types of box but these child boxes have to be positioned in a stack going up/down the page.

- Column boxes can contain many of the other types of box but the child boxes have to be position across the page like columns.

- Slide Boxes are similar to Stack Boxes but they can be positioned anywhere on a template or web page - even on top of other boxes. They are called Slide Boxes because you can slide them around anywhere you want and aren't confined to a parent box like most of the other types of box. They still have a parent box and are positioned relative to one of its corners.

- Corner boxes are a special feature of Text Boxes and can only be created in their top left and/or right corners. They behave like Stack Boxes in that their child boxes have to be positioned in a stack going up/down the page.

- Page Content Boxes are like Stack Boxes but they constitute the link between between templates and web pages. Page Content Boxes can only be inserted into Templates and other boxes can only be placed within them on web pages.

Content Boxes

- Text Boxes are the primary means by which text is embedded into a template or web page.

- Image Boxes are used to display jpg, gif, or png files and can thus be used to display photos or other graphica images.

Navigation Boxes

- Nav Bar Boxes are the means by which page navigation links are placed on a template or web page.

- Navigation Link Boxes provide a means of linking to another web page. They can be given a wide variety of different types of style or appearance and though they have to have a parent Nav Bar Box they don't have to be embedded within it but can be positioned anywhere on a template or web page.
